I like the idea of this pairing. Ellen Yin and Batman really had something going before they basically deleted her from the show. Also, I read your comment below to vasglorious about how the show did that and how she and Bruce came together. Nice!

This was before the existence of (or before I knew about) Damien Wayne.
But now that I do...I'm thinking this is still him. It actually opens up the possibility for the story i was going to do regarding the league of shadows.

1. No, actually there were some people who were happy to see this INSTEAD of her.

Well to be honest the show was giving them ample Chemistry until they inexplicably wrote her out of it as if she never existed.
I just continued down that line where she's slowly but surely addmited the connection she has with the Dark Knight is...."beyond the work place" and Bruce of course the same, although he copes with it with a heaping helping of denial because "I can't think about a life outside of being the bat...!"
That's when the his secrets and his skeletons in his closet get found out, with and without his consent when the League of Shadows starts popping up, and now Yin is on a trial that keep revealing that Bruce Wayne had run ins with them...and with a mysterious man presumed dead named "Thomas Elliot."
The more she finds out, the more she sees the REAL tragic life of Bruce Wayne, and the path of vengeance he said NO to too become Gotham's Knight.....and the very nature of the ones he said NO to.
To man strings get undone for even Batman to cover for as the League slowly but surely seizes control of Wayne Tech armed Gotham to use as a weapon...as the head of the dragon to breath fire down upon the world.
With Bruce's Bat-Family barely keeping their heads above water between the strategically released Arkham inmates and the League's numbers and attacks, Yin knowing who both men are that Gotham looks up to...helps Bruce retake their city from Ras Al Ghul and his daughter Talia, who's plan was to use the Lazarus Pits to baptize Bruce in until it not only changed his body, but his mind, making him modifiable for re-education.

How about a special prequel or prologue to Detective Ellen Yin. Explore her life, in chapter 1 her life in Metropolis before she went to Gotham, chapter 2 tells us how she delt with some of the things that happened in seasons 1 & 2, chapter 3 then explains what shes been doing during seasons 3-5 and Batman v.s. Dracula, the forth and final chapter sets up the events to come.
Sounds good right, but if you write one for her then you'd have to write one for Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Hush and Ra's Al Ghul, so I guess the story will just wait for the story.
