Description
People keep asking me for those old hair tutorials I used to have.I don't want to take them back out because they are no longer relevant and I've found a better way, so it makes no sense to me in sharing an inferior, more uninformed method to you.
This is how I color hair now, and what's even better? I draw my own stuff for my tutorials. That is more huge to me than you'd probably understand.
Questions? feel free to ask.

Thank you so, so much! I've been looking for a tutorial like this for ages. As it stands, my method of drawing hair has all the flow and finesse of a falling cinder block.

What colors would be used as base colors for different hair colors? You said purple for red hair and brown for blonde hair. But what would you use for white-blonde hair? Or black hair? Or dark and light brunette?

Great tutorial. I especially found the last step useful, since as you stated, I tend to want to skip ahead and do that in the right away. Very helpful; thanks so much for putting this together!

That's like, asking someone not to teach you how to paint the house but how to drag a specific paintbrush up and down a wall.. it doesn't cover much and it leaves out everyone else who doesn't use the tool you use. There's nothing I can teach you about photoshop elements 6.0 since the first version of photoshop i used was cs3, and i don't really see the point of teaching people how to use specific programs to do things because then i'll just be telling them do this, and that and that instead of teaching them the fundamentals of drawing and painting. It doesn't show you how to explore and you don't learn much in the end. User manuals that come from adobe can teach you how to use the programs, and artists will teach you how to create art regardless of what tool you use ^___^

I think for me this works best in combination with your older tutorials, but this is really helpful
There's just 1 thing though... any tips/resources whatever on how to make a palette? Like I have a base color, but absolutely no understand how I can figure out what goes well with it. Any pointing to the right direction would be helpful thanks.
