A pic for Punk Rock Vampire.He has one of the coolest styles I have seen in a while XD
And some of the coolest hair to…… seriously like old school Billy Idol.
This is Spike, he is a bit different. The scary kind of different o__o.
Seriously, check out his stuff he has one of the more fun styles I have seen in a while.
He thinks out every piece of his designs down to the slope of the nose and length of the woozly weasel neck.
This is a good example of why when commissioning Onion you should send a quick character description along…. Well sometimes Onion gets an idea in her head and totally runs with it. Say for example a weird image in her head of smashing the windshield of a car at one of those gas stations out in the middle of Arizona, back lit from the sunset, and front lit from the car headlights.
Sometimes she will get so excited about the lighting effects that she will forget little details like, “this character is a vampire and would evaporate in a pretty sunset”.
VAMPIRE FAIL!!!
The art is good but subject matter makes no sence...
I wanted to post this before a) I wipe the background and add in a new one. Or b) start over and go a completely new rout. In any case … good try Onion.
EDIT:
Someone is suggesting I turn the background night colors and put in stars to make this make more sense. I might just try that first.

It seems to me that it's -direct- sunlight that melts vampires, and the overall lighting here is dark enough (why else would the headlights be on?) for us to assume that the sun has already set and we're just at that magic moment when the sun's gone but the colors linger just long enough to make the perfect (and awesome) atmosphere for car bashing!

I still absolutely love how you drew him. 8D It's too bad the dark shadows kinda obscure the details that were in the sketch though.

Fun fact: I actually have short spiky platinum hairs in real life too...even though it's expensive and a pain in the arse to maintain that style. XD;

Seriously, this pic rocks. I wouldn't change it, unless the commissioner asks you to. Perhaps Spike is wearing sunscreen, like they do in Blade? The lighting is very impressive.
You do long stringy characters really well, btw, but you knew that already.
