Instead of the flat shoe, would a cardboard cutout work?

This is me next Halloween! My older sister is doing a full-body-stilt-costume of Toothless and my little sister is going to be Astrid. Let me know if you have any recommendations for tutorials.

This is super awesome!!
Do you by chance have a tutorial for his other boot as well? I'm working on some for an upcoming con and I'm so lost x.x

I have not made a tutorial for it, but if you go through the pictures I have of my cosplay, you can get an idea of what it looks like (this one might help visualize it: ooprincesslinkoo.deviantart.co… ). It involved making a giant boot cover around a normal boot and stuffing it. If I can offer any more advice please let me know
So sorry for not replying earlier!

Hello! These are going to be estimates (I made the peg-leg about five months ago) but here goes:
3-4 sheets of 12"x18" 5mm craft foam
1 sheet of 12"x18" 2mm craft foam1
1 2oz bottle of each color of paint and each type of varnish
12 rivets (I think? You'd have to look at reference photos to see how many Hiccup has)
1 7.625oz bottle of Elmer's glue
a metric shit ton of hot glue
1 package of Creative Paperclay (you won't need the whole package, but I have yet to find it in smaller than 16oz packages)
12" of each type of Velcro

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

Super clever design, love it!  I do not think I'll be cosplaying Hiccup any time soon but I love seeing cosplayers share ideas with one another.  Thanks for sharing!
