~ CHARACTER OVERVIEW ~
Tyler is a young and giddy scientist who loves to make friends. He can't wait to invite you to his next pool party, where you'll enjoy popsicles and lounging on inflatable chairs while loud music plays nearby. If you can't make it, don't worry! There's a party next month too. You... you will come, right? Tyler experiences a lot of anxiety when it comes to making and keeping friends, never really believing that they truly like him. That said, he is not one to compromise his personal interests for anyone else. He loves growing flowers, researching rainbows, and wearing cute clothes, and no one can take that away from him.
Tyler grew up an orphan, believing both his parents to be long dead, and it was quite alarming to have the deity Tsotm claim him as lir son (See "Pre-Lilypad History" below). Currently he lives in Lilypad, making occasional trips to Willow City or to higher mountains. Tyler spends his days researching the weather patterns on earth, and is particularly fascinated by rain. He believes that mastering knowledge of rainbows will help him to utilize his own rainbow-based powers... Who knows? Maybe he has abilities he doesn't even know about.
Tyler comes from an old-fashioned planet without a lot of technology except for what is used to study genetics and the stars. He likes to learn about Earth science and is fascinated by the local museum. He hangs out there frequently to study, and usually comes home loaded with gift shop merch. It's his money and he can do what he wants with it as long as he helps Taffy pay for groceries sometimes ig.

~ HISTORY ~
Tyler is the child of Tsotm (Tuu's goddess of rainbows, the ocean, and the moon) and a mortal priest whom lu once fell for (an attendant of lir rival Tsots' bone temple). Tyler's parents had one night together before parting ways, with Tyler's father never learning his lover's true identity. Time passed. A few hundred years later, a priest of Tsotm's rainbow temple discovered a hungry orphan boy who had apparently been living for years in the closed-off upper area of the temple's roof. Because the child had neither spots nor stripes, he was classified as "godless" and shooed out of the city. A rogue without the sacred markings of either the moon or the sun upon his body is shunned by Tuu society, denied even the option to use the sacred pronouns to introduce himself with. It was a lonely life for an orphan boy who was scorned any time he spoke (and even when he didn't).
Tyler spent several more hungry years scavenging and stealing in order to survive, sticking mainly to the scorching desert of the tidally locked planet. One day when he was roughly 17, while standing on tall desert rocks and watching heavy storm clouds roll over the desert (a rare occurrence to be sure), Tyler cried to the gods of Tuu that they may as well strike him now, because his life didn't seem to be going anywhere meaningful anyway. The rain fell, leaving Tyler to spend a miserable night waiting it out. You can imagine his shock when after the storm came a rainbow, and with it the goddess Tsotm in her deity form (whom Tyler didn't even recognize at first, not having the same education as the majority of planet residents).
Tsotm requested food, and when Tyler gave it to lir, lu spoke to him about his life and dreams. Lu revealed who lu was and that lu disapproved of those who had shunned him for his bare pelt. Lu implored Tyler to travel to lir rainbow temple before lu vanished. Tyler, exhausted but feeling out of options, spent several months making the trek out there, shunned the whole time. Upon his arrival and a prayer, Tsotm appeared to him again. This time, lu openly claimed him as lir son and scorned those in lir temple for turning him away. Tsotm left again, but ever since that day, Tyler was regarded with respect (and mostly fear) by those who believed what had happened, as no one wanted to face Tsotm's full wrath by mistreating him any further. With Tsotm's approval backing him, Tyler went on to work in the weather and astronomy labs, which led him to the study of a planet called Earth.
Nowadays Alivia tends to, like, not leave her children in her temples and let them wander around being orphans for ages before she reveals herself, and Tyler maybe might be just a little bit jealous of his younger half-siblings because of that...

TRIVIA
★ Half his DNA is made of rainbows. His legitimate parents are Unknown Father x A Literal Rainbow From Another Planet
★ Mentally 24 and has been for the last several thousand years
★ Gets along best with his half-sister Taffy; feels awkward around his other half-siblings
★ Becomes extremely flustered if you refer to him with either lu/lir or mu/mir pronouns like some of his family members use; he will turn this down, even if you mean well.
★ Pink fur is actually camouflage among the desert rocks and plants back on his home planet
★ Tyler is the youngest demigod child that Alivia had before leaving Tuu. He came to Earth because she basically called him once and asked if he wanted to hang out. He quit his job and hasn't gone back to Tuu since
★ He has access to the records of Sekhmet's abduction . This continues to be unimportant to the plot but I still wanted you to know he was there when that went down (Tyler and Ian go way back)
★ Back on Tuu, Tyler is the patron demigod of dragonflies and standing water (like puddles), having ascended to this status the moment Tsotm claimed him as lir son
★ Likes to think some of the young gods and demigods of the Tuu pantheon consider him a friend since he still follows them on social god media, but like... what if he's not cool enough, what if they hate him, what if they're just scared of his mom-
★ His hat was made by the patron demigoddess of thorns and weaving and he loves it
