~ CHARACTER OVERVIEW ~

Calculating, confident, patient, guarded, not easily upset... That about sums him up, doesn't it? He was like this even before he became a raider, I swear! Only now we have to add "Chaotic" into the list. Nanahu generally stays in Hollow Forest- especially during the day since he's sensitive to light. If he does go out, he wears a long cloak both to protect his eyes and attempt to disguise his missing shadow. Because of this, he's one of those raiders that's harder to identify by sight alone. However, his sunlight avoidance and chaotic behavior give him away easily.

Nanahu doesn't trust easily, and certainly doesn't trust other raiders. He's a lone wolf at heart so chances are if he's coming to see you, it's because he wants something he couldn't get his hands on himself. He can make pleasant conversation if he must, but don't fool yourself into thinking he's pleased to see you. True to his chaotic nature, he highly enjoys getting reactions out of others and doesn't back down easily...

PRE-LILYPAD TOWN

Ianuali was an ordinary rooster once upon a time. He grew up with half a dozen siblings, helped out in the family business, fell in love a time or too... the rest is sort of a blur. Although he's a raider, he never mastered control of his shapeshifting abilities. Rather, they seem to have a mind of their own. If ever he steps indoors, he snaps back into rooster form and his past memories come oozing back to him. But the moment he goes out again, he's back to being the dragon known as Nanahu.

Nanahu can never remember why he doesn't like going indoors... He's pinned it on extreme claustrophobia and will flip out if you try to force him inside. He doesn't quite remember things... He knows he came to Lilypad in search of someone. Someone very important... Who that person is, he doesn't know.

It isn't a multiple personality situation... Ianu and Nanahu are undeniably the same person. Simply, Ianu only has access to Ianu memories while Nanahu can only remember the Nanahu ones. Nanahu is unaware that this switching situation is even a thing and wouldn't recognize the name Ianu if you said it to him- his earliest memory is waking up in the forest as a dragon without a shadow and with extreme sensitivity to light. If you're ever lucky enough - or perhaps unlucky enough - to catch him as Ianu, you'll find yourself facing an extremely distressed rooster who has no idea what day or month or year it is.

TRIVIA

★ An aitvaras is a Lithuanian mythical creature said to take the form of a chicken when indoors and a dragon when outdoors

★ He and Pinna are both named after words in the Hawaiian language- Pīnekipaka is peanut butter, Ianuali is January, and Nanahu is charcoal

★ Like Pinna, Nanahu's mind reverts to a younger state while in the forms his raider potion granted him; he's more mature as a rooster (though anxious and scatterbrained)

★ His attitude can best be described as gentlemanly x flamboyant

★ He's quite cocky... pardon the pun

★ Nanahu has an affinity with water, not fire; he's an amphibian and can breathe a stream of bubbles, but not flame

★ Highly sensitive to light, though not as sensitive to noise as most raiders; often wears his cloak while out and about

★ Roofs and walls are required to activate rooster form; he'll pop back into Ianu inside a tent or cave, but not in a gazebo or pavilion

★ Has to ask other people to buy him things from indoor shops... He's a huge fan of pizza deliveries

★ Pinna has yet to meet him in his Ianu form; Nanahu doesn't know how to shapeshift at will and doesn't remember what his standard form is

★ He's into causing medium to large annoyances and doesn't much care for silly pranks or "lesser forms of mischief"

★ To be more specific, Nanahu won't do something directly harmful like push your car off a cliff or set your house on fire for a laugh, but he will totally stalk you for two hours just for the chance to swap your keys with those of someone who lives all the way across town

★ He doesn't much like being seen or subjected to small talk and doesn't do what he does for attention- chaos for the sake of chaos is its own reward

★ Doesn't go out of his way to make friends or humor people, even if those people are other raiders... Perhaps he isn't so smart after all
