I watched a Super Hornet do this same thing on the 11/6/2011 at the Cocoa Beach Airshow. Absolutely one of the coolest things you can see. (Next to the "BOne" do the same thing on a single high speed pass)
My pictures didn't come out ANYTHING like yours though. Mine look like a 3rd grader took them with a pinhole camera!

I ordered a 2 1000 w/s Elinchrome kit this evening from B&H. As soon as they verify my being a student at DSC they will place the order. I sat down with Eric Breitenbach ([link] ) and he told me all im missing is professional lighting, ive done as much as i can with ambient light and bounce flash.

love this plane! i was never a hornet fan! i always felt that the falcon (viper ) F-16 was the most incredible plane! But when they made the hornet super the love affair was over! I absolutely love the super hornet tactical demo and I am sorry to day this, but i dont think there is many planes as agile! the F-16 and F-15 demos left me wanting more Super Hornet!

The Super Hornet is the Navy's answer to a carrier bourne aircraft that can handle ALL the mission profiles of several carrier aircraft of the past. From Fleet defender/interceptor, Attack, Aerial refueler to Electronic Counter-measures, etc. This Hornet is 30% larger than the legacy Hornet (F/A-18C) and has more fuel carrying capacity and longer range than the legacy Hornet. AND it's a great air show demonstrator.

Yes the new F/A-18E/F is about as loud as the old F-4 Phantom and the F-14 Tomcat if your familiar with those aircraft. That was my obsession at air shows when I was younger, the louder the better. Of course these day while I like the Jet noise I do wear ear plugs at all the shows I go to. Age I guess...LOL
