Deviantart was Screwing up and wouldn't let me update the original file. But I knew that I needed to change many more things on a fundamental level. So I thought, Eh, what the heck. Nothing is stopping me. I'm just gonnaΒ remake everything that needs to be remade, and then I'm gonna let the color fixes show for themselves here.Ironically it's thanks to DeviantArt itself I was able to do this without completely starting from scratch. I lost access to the original photoshop file ages ago as well as the program itself. Thank God I uploaded the original as a photoshop file and not a PNG cause I had access to every individual thing from 2017 right off the bat.
Super Chu and Glaceon now both have propper shadows, Pikachu is shifted slightly more into her grip, and I smoothed out a lot of the rough textures to Glaceon's fur.
And of course now there's a much better background than before.
Edit: Okay, much more satisfied with this now. First I manually brushed all across Glaceon's Furr to smoothen all of the rough texturising out, then I skewed, detached, and relayerd Pikachu's cape, tail and left foot to make it look more natural, and I manually drew in some outer lining for Glaceon on spots where it was missing. After that, I added inner shadows to both Pikachu and Glaceon to better set the mood lighting, and I adjusted both of their drop shadows as well. This looks MUCH better.

I wanted to make the remake as more authentic as possible. So anime street, even though I had to double up on it, more natural sky, and anime tears. If you remember in the original long ago Pikachu was more grey which felt most natural with typical rainy setups, but since the environment was more bluish lighting wise you advised me to change that. And you said that looked better. Problem was the way I approached it initially, it was so blued out that it didn't look like it was just the lighting and looked like it might have actually been blue, so this time around I shifted the saturation and color tone in specific spots individually to reflecf the lighting, so now it's more apparent that it is supposed to be white but is blued by the lighting.

The texture of Pikachu is still a bit off though.

I mean you look at Glaceon and she has some grainy texture that matches the rainfall. Compare that to the smoother texture of Pikachu and it makes him look out of place.

That's not something I'm entirely sure I can tamper with effectively I actually went out of my way to smoothe her out in several places.

I think adding grainy texture to Pikachu would be easier.

The opposite actually. The texture was only like that in some places on Glaceon to begin with because of the images themselves being low resolution. You also never really talked about Pikachu looking out of place previously. I just don't think That in particular is worth changing. Not to mention, the reason I was able to do this in the first place was I finally got my editing softwares back after like a year and this was the first thing I worked on.
I was able to directly smooth out a massive chunk on Glaceon by directly selecting the color of her fur and applying it to the area. I don't get why that in particular is something I'd want to change. And considering she's made out of nine or so different layers and he's only 4 he's the one that has the most all around consistency. Which in the type of Art we do things aren't exactly always going to match up absolutely perfectly.
However, there is something I do think could and should be changed about Pikachu and that's his positioning. He's on his side yes, but his side that's underneath Glaceon kinda looks like it's floating with how it correlates to her and the ground. I think that's something I can adjust and condense a little further to make it look more like he's laying on the ground. Should I try doing that?

Out of curiosity, I attempted to try your suggestion anyway, but unfortunately after a good half hour or so of trying different tools and effects, it came to light that that in particular was an edit that didn't even seem possible in the first place. But, like I said, I could do something about Glaceon. So, I went ahead and started smoothing her out. The reason I'm able to do that, is because I'm able to select specific spots of her directly and have the color of the pixel immediately available, and once the colors are available, I can immediately begin brushing over the entire section manually and even change the size of the brush for really rough edges and parts that are just on the edge of other colors so that I don't accidentally go over them. I can also directly select certain spots so barriers surround the edges making it so I can't go out of them while working. So now Glaceon is pretty much completely smoothed out, and I also added a black outline to the areas that were missing it, and smoothed parts where it was too large. It's looking nice so far.
