Amy gets a bad rap among some people. There are a lot of misconceptions about Amy and I love her as a character! So I feel the need to straighten this out.Related content

Exactly. She said no matter the package he's still her Sonic. And of course in that God awful game Sonic 06 She said, "If I had to choose between the World and Sonic, I would choose Sonic" If she liked him, BECAUSE he's a hero, and not because of who he is inside, she would never have said that.

People deem her as a crazed fangirl who is obsessed with Sonic and a ditsy bipolar fool. AKA the people who read the comics.

Β Leave it to antis to exaggerate her character and flaws. What gets me is how they think strongly of it as it was fact.
Amy Rose in the comics isn't her brightest representation (Especially her character depicted as nothing but a fangirl/mentally an inexperienced and ditsy child who is freakin bipolar because the writers picture her as such.), but people, by that I mean comic fans, usually don't remember that Amy in the comics is not the same and will not be the same as the one seen in games.Β

Let's not forget that Amy specified herself in Unleashed that she loved him no matter what package he came in. Showing depth, not shallowness. She too said she trusts Sonic and threw herself in the way despite the conflict of Silver, new acquaintance, trying to kill him for the accusation of him destroying his world. Also, even their holy comics shows Amy letting Sonic go and putting his happiness before her own. This too shows that her feelings very well can be genuine. She also never shown romantic interests in others, and writers had said a mandate was to, while not make sonamy official, they can't ship her off to others and or have her get over him fully either. This probably explains why Amy wasn't thrown into the arms of a different interest yet or ever in the archie comics. (So I heard on the forums. Need to check back.)
Never had she once given an indication of her feeling fake love/crush and if that were true, she'd move on by now instead of wasting 20 something years chasing after him and wouldn't think of him so strongly/determined for him. To top that off, her bio would undoubtedly say or imply her not truly liking him, however it never had.
Even that would never make sense. Amy's character is completely the opposite of menacing, ill spirited, manipulative, and untruthful/unfaithful. In fact her bios describe her as nevertheless kind hearted, extremely extroverted, speaks her mind loud and clear, bubbly, and innocent in her own given nature. She doesn't seem that good at lying, seen in multi cannons and spin offs, and is quick to drop her mask.
So why would she hold the 'I love you sonic' mask for so long without falter or putting it down entirely? Exactly. The only way that could happen is with serious contradiction.
People who like saying this either wants to avoid this fact and brush off Amy's affections to either diss the pair, ship sonic and amy off with others, reach so far to denote her character, or are just innocently ignorant about her character.

You know what annoys me to no end? The fact that like 90% of the Sonic Fandom thinks Sonic CD takes place before Sonic 2.

90% of the fandom does. *Facepalm* They say because the Spindash Physics are off, it uses Sonic 1 sprites, the fact that Sonic 2's ending is practically the start of Sonic 3, and Tails' absence mean it takes place before Sonic 2.
FIRSTLY! There's no Spindash at ALL In Sonic 2 for the Game Gear, Secondly Sonic Goes on adventures without Tails all the time, thirdly the physics and Sprites are off because it was being developed at the same time as Sonic 2. Fourthly Sonic 1, 2, and 3K form a trilogy and there's no gap between Sonic 2 and 3 which is why it can't take place between those games, the ending of Sonic 2 basically is the opening to Sonic 3 pushes Sonic CD past Sonic 3 and Knuckles making it the true Sonic 4.
Also in Lego Dimensions Eggman claims that Silver/Robo-Sonic is the first creation he made that rivaled Sonic. But they claim that since it's not canon that the quote is irrelevant...like seriously? It was licensed by Sega...No it's not canon but the quote is still valid. And in Sonic 3 & Knuckles Mecha Sonic only Β used Bosses from Sonic 1 and 2. If it DID take place between 1 and 2 he would have also used a CD Boss.
