Description
Here is my first tutorial for you!Someone requested me to do it, so I did it. I hope you find it useful
...and sorry I didn't upload something "finished" lately- I maybe have something like a art-blockade.

Well, then I'm really glad if it's useful! I'm not that happy with the results, but it shows more or less how I'm normally draw stuff- I might change my techniques if it's needed of course
Thank you!

hehe, good job ^^ tutorials are hard when there's no point or character to do with them. (I rarely use brushes either )

Nice method of doing scales!
Your method is quite different than my drawing style, I think my way of doing things could be considered a bit backwards or simple even...I stuck with using brushes with simple transparency settings, but I never experimented with dodge or burn tools etc, I guess once I learn one way, I like sticking with it, I don't even use custom brushes! something nearly all adobe artists use.

Thanks!
Well,yes- but I like your results much better that mine Well, I like the burn and dodge tool very much, but it's of course also possible just to draw with the brushes.
Actually, I use at the moment just one brush- the standard brush (a round dot) and variations of it (like scatter, hardness, size and opacity). I really dislike to use fire brushes, or scales brushes- even if I had created them. It take away the good feeling of having drawn something...
I use only sometimes a cloudbrush or a grassbrush, because I have trouble to draw these things

Thanks my results are not always fully drawn, as I do a sort of matte painting method (photo layering), I mainly do that with backgrounds and textures...."I can't be arss'd doin it all ma self"
lol
I don't even know how to make custom brushes, I forgot what I learnt at course...
Clouds are fun, I like doing clouds with digital brushes, but when I'm wanting to get realistic ones I just do photo layering. heheh

Yeah, but needs skills too As long as the endresultat looks cool, it is good
Well, I just read that a few days ago somewhere- but I didn't have done that so far.
But clouds are difficult, even if you use a photo

Yeah, It does take skill to get the end result right, and it's never easy.
You don't use custom brushes either? then I'm not the only one!
Yeah, they can be difficult even with a photo If the photo's don't match the scenery etc, all sorts of things need changing sometimes.

Yeah, we should create a club. "Non-custom-brushes-user Club"
Exactly... and the character really has to fit in a landescape or it will look very odd

Heheh, a club for us amateur photoshop brush users...
I know, it happens especially when the shadows are different.
