Sure, but I think that this is acceptable. I mean, they're older, they're married(Astrid's hand bears proof), so heck, why not?

Obviously, this is not for young eyes, so cover any that may be near by.

Hiccup had never seen her so vulnerable to her emotions. This worried him; he wanted her to forget, at least for the moment.
Astrid fell below conciousness and immersed herself in sorrow; she couldn't possibly fight what was before her. Hope and determination had passed, binding her to face what couldn't possibly be changed.

I've read many fanfictions that follows a storyline where one of the two is forced into an arranged marriage.
This is sort of based off of that...
Only...I guess that doesn't mean they're married...

There's some sort of conflict, okay?!
That's why they're sad.
