Awwww my little lovely Data! >///< I love you so much!I can't stop drawing him!
These are sketches I made randomly without any reference. Basically I wanted to see if I was able to draw his typical facial expressions. Of course the one on the left bottom corner is not Data, he is his evil twin Lore, with his typical twitch.
The sketch on the right was inspired by a scene I saw in the Mission Log in the last DVD of the second series: there was Brent Spiner probably trying a scene of the episode "Loud as a Whisper" when he talks to the mediator Riva, and he was wearing a sweatshirt over his uniform. So I wanted to know how Data would look with a sweatshirt instead of the uniform... and that's what I got! He is so cute, isn't him?

He is the proof of what happens when you are different and alone, and you think nobody cares and everybody hates you. Data cannot understand that because he has no feelings (and that's why Soong did not give him feelings from the beginning, I believe). Data is rationality, Lore is instinct. It could not have gone differently, I think. (that's what I understood till now, watching Datalore and Brothers. I still have to watch Lore's appearances in the next series. ) - sorry for my bad english XD

Ohh! I really like these! I like how you got some of Data's expressions spot on.
And one thing, that I like, is that you remmebered that Data's eyebrows are very light-coloured. A lot of people forget! I like the fact that you remembered.
These are great. I dunno why, but I like the face where he is approximating the date. So... very... Dataish!

You are right about Data's eyebrows... Probably when they put the makeup on him they whitened them because otherwise they would be too dark comparing with the white skin!

I think he'd look funny with dark eyebrows. I made the mistake of doing that when I first drew data. I should upload my new picturs of Data, where I remembered not to fill in is eyebrows.
Oh! Data isn't actually 'white', he's 'light gold'. Isn't that cool? He's a little bit shiny. XD

Old comment, but... if you watch the first episode of TNG, he actually did have dark eyebrows. They must have decided to cover them later on.

Lol, indeed it's hard to capture his real color, since it is so light that it is always influenced by the light and the surrounding colors... @_@

Did you know they painted Brent so many different colours, untill they landed with light gold? Even PINK.
Oh! And Data was originally going to be in a blue uniform, but I think his makeup didn't work with it, so they stuck him in gold. XD
I want to draw Data in blue now. :]

Data: I do not see the nessesity of having polka-dots if I am trying to achieve humanity. It prooves to be a distractant for fellow crewmembers.
