Over a month had passed since Woo Boost told me he was in love with me. Some days I still couldn't believe it. He'd seemed like such a normal guy. Well maybe not normal. But not a single part of me would have ever expected him to confess to me. I glanced over to him as he was trudging his way through the snow. The weather had changed drastically the last weeks and it had been snowing for a few days now. The Shallow Lagoons were pretty much deserted so our workdays were shortened.

Even though Woo Boost had started sleeping over at our place again he still spent a lot of his free time with Gold Dust. It was a weird feeling. On one hand I was grateful for Gold Dust being there for Woo Boost but on the other hand I didn't know how to feel about him knowing. But most of all I just missed the old times. Woo Boost had quickly found himself to be my best friend as we trained and worked together. But these days we just didn't spend that much time together anymore. Granted the most awkward phase was probably over now but we both knew what was said a month ago and we both knew we couldn't change that.

Now that I knew Woo had been in love with me I started to notice all the little tells that I had been missing before. His little glances my way. The way his face would light up when I said something nice to him. The way his face fell when I talked about girls. How he would blush when I touched him. Even the things that he didn't do anymore but I only now realized. He'd always stood a little too close beside me and how he wanted to spend every second of the day with me. Unlike now, I thought to myself bitterly, shooting over my eyes his way.

Woo was in a good mood today. Apparently he'd never seen snow before and the very concept of it filled him with more excitement than most of the foals of the herd. He licked the air to catch a snowflake with his tongue, his eyes shining brightly. Before his eyes flicked to the side and found mine staring at him. His face flushed a bright red and he immediately put his tongue back in his mouth, eyes turned down at the ground. At that very moment my heart skipped a beat. How could a guy be so cute? I shook my head in surprise. Did I really just think Woo was cute?

"Let's go check the ice", I said to him trying to shake off the thought from before. Woo flipped back to being an excited foal and looked up at me eagerly. He'd been begging me to go on the ice for days but I had deemed it too thin each time. But after last night's cold it might be okay now. He galloped off towards the lagoons leaving me covered in snow. I closed my eyes and let the snow cool down my mind before I set off after him. "Careful", I called after him before he reached the water's edge.

"It's not like I could drown in here if I did break through the ice", Woo remarked as he waited by the edge. He changed on his hooves, obviously impatient. "But you can get your legs hurt by the ice", I replied as I came up next to him. I could see his body flinch as I stood closer to him than I had done these last weeks. How had I missed all of this? Woo snorted but waited anyway. "I'll go first, impatient one", I grinned and bumped his shoulder as I set my hoof on the ice. Just out of the corner of my eye I could see him blush. I quickly turned my head forward as I couldn't contain my smile. It was a good thing I needed my mind to focus on my movements now because it was moving in strange directions.

The ice didn't crack or make any noise under my weight. When I was safely standing a little while away from the edge I looked over at Woo. His eyes looked at me with wonder and excitement. "Are you coming?" I asked with a laugh as I beckoned him over. His face lit up and he didn't know how fast to get onto the ice. His hooves slipped out from under him and he was barely able to keep his balance. He ended up on the ice with his legs spread as far apart as they could. I threw my head up and laughed out loud. "Like a graceful swan", I commented as I beheld his shaking pose. "I haven't seen you doing anything yet", he threw back at me with a huff and a grin as he composed himself again. "True", I said, my eyes scanning the ice. Slowly I started to slide forward, picking up speed as I went. I skated past him with a smirk on my face making Woo puff up his cheeks. "Show off", he called after me sticking out his tongue. "Come on then, show me off", I challenged him as I skidded to a stop again.

With an unsure look in his eyes Woo started to move forward. His hooves sliding away from him from time to time but he kept his balance a lot better already. When he picked up speed a high pitch laughter escaped his lips. Cute. There it was again! I shook my head once more and started skating again. Woo tried to make a turn but was caught in the momentum. With a surprised gasp he tumbled onto the ice. I quickly made my way over to him to check if he was okay. "You still alive?", I asked before he rolled onto his back. "It's cold", he giggled, covered in ice shavings and snow. His front legs pulled up over his nose. My heart stuttered once more. Seriously how could a guy be this cute?

I ended up helping Woo up in the end. Which proved to be much trickier than I had originally thought it would be. It was accompanied with lots of stumbling and me falling and laughing at each other. After that we skated most of the day away. For the most part it actually felt like old times again. Except for those weird thoughts. And my heart being weird. Maybe it was because I finally realized he was actually in love with me. Or maybe I was just paying it too much mind. I didn't know what it was, but something was changing.

Oh yes I hardly get to draw anymore but when I do it's these dorks
Life has been extremely good but also extremely busy lately! Unfortunately I won't be able to be on DA the same way I have been these past years. But I'm not leaving! I'll keep on drawing when I do have some time and I'll try and keep up with my inbox some more :3 I really do miss it on here.

I hope you guys like my stories because I think I'll be focusing on those the most when I do get to draw. Especially Aravali and Woo <33 Looks like somethings are a changing huh? Writing isn't my best but I like the story

I really hope you guys will like seeing my work again and these guys popping up in your messages
