I once made lips i was happy with and never accomplished to reproduce the result in a satisfactory fashion. I see that your approach is not that different from mine, so I'm quite content this will help me in the future!

I was surprised when i first started learning photorealism because it didn't require any skills i didnt already know. you just apply what you know about specular light on the larger scale and apply it to the smaller details.

Excellent tutorial! I appreciate the reminder about how close up it can look rough, but further away it will look fine. Sometimes it's too easy to get caught up in finicky details and forget about the overall effect! Congrats on the DD!

This is a very good resource, and, as you pointed out, helpful for traditional artists as well. I'd be quite interested to see a similar tutorial on male lips, because there are such big differences. You do great work!

This is a helpful tutorial. Thank you. I hope I can adapt this into my learning and with practice achieve the level of skill to do the same and pay it forward with lessons of my own. There are not enough tutorial on digital drawing for Android tablet users (and using apps like Sketchbook Pro).
