have seen this in person....amazing what he did. Really like your different spin on it

He really does put a new spin on this artwork. Kinda ties into Close's work actually. He has a disorder that prevents him from recognizing faces. Its just shapes and patterns to him. Maybe the explosion is what was going on in Close's head when he was painting, using those patterns to figure out what his own face looked like.
