This was quite an experiment. @__@ Ugh. Happier with it than I am my latest two attempts at art, but it still isn't exactly as I had envisioned.. I'm sure I'll revisit it someday.It's rather easy to understand, I think. Saria lamenting the loss of her dear friend. I take it to be the day he has finally passed on, but I also like to just think of it as the day she realized he wasn't visiting her anymore.. Either way it's really sad and I'm wondering now why I made it xD ahaha..

Wow, this is really nice!Β Β Everything about it! From technique to feeling and aesthetic, simply wonderful. And Saria looks not all sorrowful, but there's that slight smile, that can indicate a lot. I like that detail! Also, the colors, the light, and holy Hylia, that background.. just gotta love this composition!

I dunno what to ssaaay, this piece was so difficult, but I was like, "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I'M GONNA IMPROVE!!" so I just tried anyways. =^- ahaha. Yea, the smile was there from the very beginning. I feel like in this exact moment she is absolutely heartbroken that he's gone now, but she also understands that this is what immortality means, and she's happy that his soul can be at rest for a little while. It's a complex and bittersweet emotion.
To hear such praise just makes me melt and wanna draw again RIGHT NOWW ahaha. Too bad I have to work all day... after work!!
