Description
Tinkerbell and a dime. This deviation is partially a tongue-in-cheek response to the challenge made by "now make one as small the dime." (If you haven't seen his work, please view his gallery, it is really amazing.) He was joking, as I am now.The real reason I did this was to see if it would work in the full piece. The original plan was to include Tinkerbell, in scale, with the Princesses, but I don't think I will include her in the final piece as it really doesn't work on this scale.
Tinkerbell is made of Canson paper. She is a little over 3/4" tall and a little over 1/2" wide. She is made of 20 pieces of paper. Her eye lashes are drawn on, not paper.
I had trouble with the category, I couldn't find "insane" in the system.

**Edit: I added pupils and eye lashes. Still far from perfect, but hopefully she doesn't look quite as angry.**

This is the smallest I've worked and don't have any plans to work that small any time soon.

Okay, right now I am holding a dime in the palm of my hand, and looking back and forth between the dime and this photograph.

Did you use a magnifying glass or something to get tie fine details like the fingers and such? I can't imagine. XD

I actually didn't use a magnifying glass. My eyes work really well, up close. Distance, not so much; and unfortunately, far away is getting closer and closer.
Once the basic shape is cut, it isn't too hard to cut out the details. The problem is if you screw up, like cut a finger off, then you have to start over. I did use tweezers to move the pieces around and the point of a pin to apply glue.

Nope, the pen ran out so I couldn't add the lashes I wanted and the lack of pupils doesn't help. I need to update the picture, she looks better now.

FDR is getting around with the Princesses....
I softened her look a little with drawn in pupils and more eyelashes. The pen I used to make this version was running out of ink. She still isn't perfect, but certainly less angry.

With a very, very sharp xacto blade, a pin, tweezers and tiny bits of glue.
It really wasn't that hard actually. The cutting was challenging, as I had to make her face three times, but the rest of her wasn't too bad.

It took a few times to get her head to a point that was acceptable, but the rest went together pretty easily. I cut her head out 3 different times and this one was the best (which isn't saying much). Her legs, shoes, body, arms and hair were only cut out once.
