Even talking about corporate copyright infringement seems quaint. Let's talk about corporate espionage, murder, warfare and a ton of other types of major crimes first.

I just made a video about that. I was going to anyways but when I saw your reply I really knew I had to. Haahaha. So yeah, you're in the video. Sort of. Like, not literally YOU. But like, an on screen captured view where I am showing this deviation and verbally reading your comment as I am showing it to the world. You get the idea

Nice, you've got so much energy. I kinda burned out from doing this deep research stuff years ago when I learned about the extent of people's ignorance and convenience. Still getting disappointed by people on a regular basis.
So my comment was motivated by my current state of awareness where I wouldn't hesitate to call the corporate world huge organized crime that's probably more harmful than 'the' mafia. It's valuable to talk about the details and everything they're doing to get a complete picture. I've been through that and then realized: Wow, the crimes aren't really the problem here. The fact that so many people are supporting grand scale wickedness and overt crime, that's the real scary issue. There's plenty of information out there, freely accessible, and even just reading certain historical articles on Wikipedia would help, but people are in a mental enslavement grid, and where there is no will, there is no way. (Not that I still care whether people need to suffer in order to learn, but sadly it's always the intelligent, informed people who will get that suffering dumped on their head by the convenient. I've seen the ugliness that lies in that convenience and breaks to the surface when challenged.)
I mean, just when I think the US government couldn't possibly make their double standards and moral bankruptcy any more absurd and blatant, Obama levels up and proves me wrong. Governments really out-mafia the mafia. I tend to cynically say that the mafia is just a competitor in the governing business, with a historical establishment disadvantage and a lacking propaganda ministry.
It remains interesting though. It's cool to hear about things like that Oliver Stone is making a documentary movie about the Ukrainian coup, because that's very close to the event. That's exactly what we need. Not allowing people to let grass grow over an issue. Full revelation as soon as feasible, while the meal is still hot.

Well, I checked various segments and it was not that interesting because I already know all this stuff. And it's still so easy to talk about what to do, but in praxis it isn't. For example, when he talked about how one has to be willing to put their own beliefs to the test, and how if what you believe is true, you will not heistate to allow that ... there are people who listenend to such and integrated it into their bullshit. They would give a lecture and say: "I expect harsh critique, I can handle it, don't just believe what I say. But it will hold scrutiny". And then I do just that and the bullshit facade falls and the ignorant prick in denial shows his face.
At the core, fears need to be removed, but we have to accept that very many people simply aren't willing to abandon their convenient fears. You can explain to them all you want how it would actually better serve their interests; many people are so damn convenient and stupid that they would still resist. Because: Without a proper incentive, you cannot expect people to change. And proper incentive could still not cause learning, but merely adaptation out of coerced necessity.
The more I make an effort, the more I make experiences about how depressingly fucked up and unchangeable many people are, and how powerful the support networks of likeminded people are.
I had an especially painful experience lately that alienated me a lot more from the 'common rabble' and people I thought did not fit into that classification. Made me very polarized. Good people (those who sincerely WANT to improve themselves) deserve the effort invested in them. But those who don't want to, those who made a deliberate choice to live the problem, they can go to hell; I don't care. Not anymore.
Denial absolutely knows no limits; has no shame. And egotism can be a horribly ugly thing. It is the scourge of humankind, because extremely widespread.

Case in point, the developer of a iPhone app called cube cheater which allows you to use the camera to solve the rubiks cube simply by taking pictures of each side of the cube, got his app DMCA'd by the rubiks company. Later they released their own official app and wouldnt you know, THEY RIPPED OFF HIS APP AND STOLE HIS CAMERA SOLVER! It was the EXACT SAME THING!
I told him to DMCA their app because they stole his idea and slapped it in their own app.
No one like hypocrisy, especially the courts!

Its probably because he called it a "Rubix app". Ever notice that there are things such as free and open source clones for old video games that don't get DMCA'd? This is because they name the game differently and just say "this game is similar to..." and then insert the name of the original game in the descripion, as a comparison.
Kind of like I can say that "my music is a similar style to this other band" or whatever, and the other band in question can't DMCA me because i'm not literally taking their name or music.
So, Apple fucked him on a technicality. They didn't nail him for the app, they nailed him for the name "Rubix" being trademarked.
This guys app however, is original. He should be able to outright SUE THEM because he can prove he made the app before they did

ACTA makes no realistic sense if you think about it. 99% of internet users do state copyright, therefore, the only reason for ACTA is so those idiots down in congress can get a bigger paycheck, meanwhile everyone else is living on the streets and starving to death

Large corporations exist to maximize profits and consolidate power, by any and all means necessary. Honesty is not one of their strategies.
