Size: 45-55cm tall in the shoulders, 60-82.5cm from snout to tail-base + 40-50cm = 100-132.5cm from snout to tail
Classification: Caniform
Habitat: Mountains, Forests, Jungles, Swamps, Arctics
Diet: Omnivorous; diet consisted of deer, cattle, elephant calves, pigs, goats, sheep, grasses, herbs, leaves, fruits, rhubarbs, carrion
Description: These red dogs are brave, fearless, and fierce, swarming on larger prey. Thanks to the series of the Jungle Book, the red dogs are seen as law-breaking marauders of the wolf territory in India who doesn't work or little work with Shere Khan, and/or Tabaqui, but some rare adaptations depict that not all dholes are law-breakers, some are allies to wolf pack lead by Akela and Rhaksha, and Mowgli's wolf parents. Not all dholes are enemies to wolves, but they can compete to lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, striped hyenas, sloth, sun, moon, and brown bears. Dholes are not only native to India, but its subcontinents, along with the mountains of northern and central parts Asia, and the islands and jungles of Southeast Asia. The dholes are distinguished from wolves, jackals, and foxes, due to cat like spine, thin legs, hyena-like faces, rounded ears, and a foxlike snarl(when threatened and/or angered). They looked like red foxes with hyena faces, but their tail tips are darker than their red fur. Mountain dholes of winter did looked like wolves, due to their lighter colors of their winter fur. Like AWDs and graey wolves, but maned wolves are the exception for their social units, dholes lived in large packs, as their societies are similar to their African painted cousins, but dholes are more social than graey wolves.
