Scientific Name: Uncia/Panthera uncia
Size: 60cm tall in the shoulders, 75-150cm from snout to tail-base + 80-100cm long tail = 155-250cm from snout to tail
Classification: Feliform
Habitat: Forests, Arctic, Deserts
Diet: Carnivorous; diet consisted of camels, goats, horses, rabbits, birds, deer, red pandas, wild pigs, yaks, carrion, and small rodents
Description: The snow leopard, was closely related to a tiger, lived in the mountains of Central Asia, along within the Indian subcontinents. These endangered cats are adapted to cold climates, like a polar bear, but they climb on the mountains, to prey upon ungulates. They have long tails for balance and used for wrapping the cat itself around the body to keep this predator warm and cozy. Except for a bond between mother and her cubs, the snow leopards are solitary like most panthers(except for lions, who are the only pack-hunters of the Panther lineage), as well that they have big territories, but they can't defend it aggressively when encroached by other snow leopards. The threats are not only humans who are poachers, but worse, global warming, to increase big amounts of trees, but decreasing their prey, that depends on the plants. Even though, snow leopard attacks are extremely rare, but most of us humans who are NOT poachers, can conserve these cats and their threatened mountain ecosystems. As they are parts of the Endangered Species list(like gorillas, orang-e-tans, okapis, tigers, hooey hounds, and even polar bears, etc.), the conservation projects for the snow leopards, like Snow Leopard Trust, Panthera Corporation, and Cat Specialist Group for example. We seen these lookalikes of the leopards, in these games, for example of Zoo Tycoon series, Magic School Bus explores the Animal World, World of Zoo, and the games of Kung Fu Panda, and the movies, like Kung Fu Panda(which featured the snow leopard as a villain, like Tai Lung) and Zootopia(even this featured a snow leopard as a female news reporter.) for example.
