Description
Update #1: For 5 years, I have renamed my very first deviation since I made my first appearance as a DeviantArtist, from Triceratops vs. Edmontotitan, into Triceratops vs. Anatosaurus, because Edmontotitan is Edmontosaurus regalis, while Anatosaurus is Edmontosaurus annectens/Anatotitan copei. This was the All-Yesterdays thing, the ferocious Triceratops is the largest , but the last of the 3 heterodontosauroformes, which along with Pachycephalosaurus and Leptoceratops. Triceratops tried to kill the male Anatosaurus. But the Anatosaurus stallion used his cheetah-reflexes as he dodges Triceratops's dreaded bite, while the mare watched the battle of 2 giants.
Triceratops was the entelodonts of the dinosaurs, whose along with its fellow ceratopsians of its family tree.

Oh, noooo! Stygimoloch skulls bigger than Pachy-skulls were found!
And Triceratops didn't have crest holes!
Do not always copy every theory of scientists like Horner, you should also think about it to develop your own (perhaps even better)Β theories.
But, yes. Nanotyrannus was a young T. rex and Anatotitan was (surprise) a big specimen of Edmontosaurus.
Ba-dush! XD

I think you are almost wrong, because the big species of Pachycephalosaurus's skull was bigger than the little Pachycephalosaurus and Stygimoloch's skull. But you're right about the skulls of Triceratops, some of them don' have holes on their skulls, and I gotta do my own theories! It's a ba-dush.

Ba-da-dush.
I meant, the smallest Pachycephalosaurus skull was way smaller, than the biggest Stygimoloch skull. Shure, there could be some variation between distinct genera or one genera, but it wouldn't make it the same species.
It's not just about the nose ornament structure.
This was only the case for T. horridus, where it was thought, there were many species, but the ones with the spikey frill were just adolescents and juveniles.

Nah, TorosaurusΒ is still a separate genus.
AnatotitanΒ was the juvenile genus of Edmontosaurus.

If this is the case, shouldn't you be calling them Toroceratops, Nanotyrannosaurus and Pachydracomoloch?
Also, no dinosaur documentary can be used as an accurate resource, particularly not those which only contain the theories of one or two people.

Why is it named Edmontotitan when Edmontosaurus is the real name?
π: 0 β©: 1
Patchi1995 In reply to TarbosaurusBatar [2014-02-13 04:32:54 +0000 UTC]
Because Anatotitan was named into Anatosaurus, that's why!

Because ceratopsians and the marginocephalians, like pachycephalosaurs and heterodontosaurs, were all omnivores. Omnivorous marginocephalians can have a various diet of plants, fruits, insects, live animals, and dead animals.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to infer that Ceratopsia was all omnivorous just because of one Psittacosaurus fossil had lizard bones in its stomach. For all we know, ceratopsians could have evolved into derived herbivores after that rather basal representative of their lineage.

True, but would Triceratops actively prey on big herbivores?

TheMorlock In reply to Patchi1995 [2014-02-04 00:53:52 +0000 UTC]
I would have thought it just scavenged, or ate some small prey. It doesn't look likean apex predator.

I know! That's why Hell Creek had 2 apex predators like Tyrannosaurus Rex, and a rogue Triceratops. They can battle for 1 room of being an apex predator.

I'm never heard about the new name for Edmontotitan, but wait, is that name means "Edmonton Titan" or the "Giant from Edmonton?"
Because I have a rare feelings about new name's changed.

Is Triceratops tried to eat the stallion Edmontotitan, or is he fighting with him?
