Character Name: Quercus Rober

Race: TreeDragon (Oak)

Gender: Male

Age: 347 years (equivalent of about 24yrs old in humans)

Appearance: See picture. Tusks of a boar, jaws of granite, beard of roots, antlers of a stag, hide of mosses and ferns, a mane of grass, treelike wings, body of a bear, green eyes, tail like a tree trunk, tail paddle like an oak leaf. Toadstools, mushrooms and orchids grow on his mossy back.

Size: A 6ft man would come up to the lowest point of moss on his foreleg.

Powers: Great physical strength. Can shed all his leaves and enter a dormant, hibernative state for decades. Whatever forest he dwells in begins to flourish with new and magnificent oak trees that grow from the giant acorns that are shed from his wings and horns. He has been worshipped as a fertility deity for the effect he has on woods, and at his young age he is a little... frisky.

Personality: A mysterious creature, he melts seamlessly into oak woodland. Since he can talk to his flocks of oaks and since he is young (for an oak dragon) and mischevious, he often plays tricks on travelers for his own amusement, sheparding trees around to change the course of forest trails. He strongly dislikes axes and fire.

History: The last acorn shed by the previous oak dragon grew in size underground to the size of a tennis ball before growing a shoot with leaves which acted like a tadpole tail. This heard-headed dragpole buried through moist soil eating bugs and nibbling roots, sleeping during the day with its tail poking out into the sun with leaves spread. Eventually as this dragpole grew it sprouted legs and started living in the forest canopy, then later grew into his current winged phase.

Quercus Maximus is exactly the same as his father, almost being a reincarnation of the previous oak dragon. He has some very faint, very ancient memories that managed to stick with him into this life.
