First of all thank you StefanKa very much for giving permition to make this for vista. I know there is a version from psycoB but that one is not Aero compatible.with about 670 favourites one of the most popular Visual Styles for XP......Now you can get this experience on Windows Vista. And AERO will make this experience even better for you

I think using the original bitmaps from the compact shellstyle for the toolbar background could had made the theme look better. Also, the corners look a bit messed-up in the screenshot
Going to see what I can do about the former should I keep this one - somehow I just cannot find a Vista theme that suits me best yet, and I'm too lazy to finish my own's.

Hmmm... after applying it, I suggest that you do something about the STREAM too; the reflection (which I guess is a leftover from the original Aero.msstyles) is annoying.

its not working on my vista extreme edition, all others work fine, but this one just changes back to classic windows theme, and when i switch back Vista OSX all is good and aero works perfect, am i doing something wrong?

Great job dude, this themes is awesome, just one thing, the browseui.dll file is not compatible with Vista 64 correct? Is there any way you could make it work for 64, i can't really resize my explorer windows without it !

cuz the default font seems a little odd in chinese edition.

...Damn, I just spotted something else. Why can't I resize the window from the bottom? Sure, I can easily work around that by resizing windows from the top, but this is still another slight issue that's a little annoying. I still like the theme, as Aero looks good on a style that isn't totally glassy, but this skin still needs just a little bit of polishing up to make it perfect.

Okay, I just noticed a small thing that's the kind of thing that persists throughout the whole OS: transparency on the corners. Not only do the corners seem very blurry (unless I'm just confusing that with the fact that smooth images are still shown through a series of pixels), but the transparency doesn't seem to have been done properly--there are uncut sharp corners still visible.
Otherwise, this looks like an excellent theme, and at least Aero forbids that obnoxiously pale highlight in the XP version that made the text (white when highlighted with that blue) practically unreadable.

i have been using this style for afew days now, it is amazing, but there is only one thing, the start menu -> all programs menu doesnt have a left right scroll and it is quite small is there any way to increase the width back to the normal width, also is it possible to have the user picture put back into the start menu?

Oh God yes. I've been waiting for something like this to turn up since I started on visual styles a few months ago.
Good job, might as well download it now even though I'm going to undo a system restore and get SP1 back. Though there's manual patching for that, as long as I don't feck it up.

you have to replace the browseui.dll file in the systems32 folder with the one provided. make sure you back up first.

Thanks, I had some trouble changing permissions of that file but after a while I figured it out. I'm used to the GNU/Linux way of changing permissions, Vista kind of makes stuff hard to do.

Hey patrick, I started using the VS and I noticed a small little thing that may need correction. when I get the mouse near the window borders, it won't change to that "two way arrow" that allows us to drag that location of the window in order to increase or decrease its size. It'll only get like that in two or three particular spots, and they're very hard to find. Other than that, it's working perfectly. Just thought I'd warn you
