Description
Most of the work in my galery is sad, sullen or serious, so it was nice to draw a picture of someone smilling for a change
The reference for this piece came from an exceptionally tallented and famous photographer James Houston, known for photographing celebritys, fashion and advertisments - check out his website here houstonphoto.com/
The drawing took forever, I think I would cry if I counted up all the hours, but i will take a guess at 40+, a largish drawing measuring 45cm X 35 cm on Bristol Board smooth. Drawn with range of Faber-Castell 9000 pencils from 4H through to 8B - a whole 8B in fact, Tomo Mono Zero eraser and a blending stick.

It is there - but not easy to find, your best bet is to Google image search his name and it comes up then. It takes me 80 hours just to get them on DA - the site doesn't work in China anymore, I guess someone must have upset the censors here????

I think it is probably one of the most photo realistic i have done, but not the most enjoyable drawing - and as i do this for fun, i guess it should be those that are my best
