I love this shape.  The simple color scheme really makes it shine.  Cool lighting too.  Lighting is such a pain.

Interesting spirograph shape. I've been experimenting with similar techniques using splines in 3dsmax. I find this design compelling, as it would make a unique wicker basket or container of some kind.

Thanks for the comments. I used a simple low poly hemishpere and added that to an atom array to create the cage. Then I just cloned it about 100 times while increasing scale and keeping thickness the same. Then I added some rotations in the three axis.

That's impressive, and sounds like a good workflow, similar to some of the array work I do in Max too. Is there a way for you to convert all the cloned objects into a single manifold through vertex welding, etc.? Might be taxing on resources to weld thousands of verts in one go, but it's handy to have a single manifold rather than 100. Awesome work once again. Love the aesthetics of the object.

Yeah, not sure how or if I could do that. In this model there are only physically two models. I create the largest one and the smallest one and put them in a cloner which is set to blend mode. In C4D the blend mode then creates as many instances as I tell it to and it scales them all automatically between the largest and smallest.

Well no matter; it's a beautiful result, and I really like the technique.
