Description

Despite Asuka’s maiden fight against Adriel finishing considerably faster than earlier battles, the presence of the United Nations Pacific Fleet was essential in obtaining the necessary genetic material to start the fourth AX-Series Evangelion. Jin Shu-Fen was the daughter of an influential member of SEELE (though most people believed he was simply the High Chairman of the Bank of NovoAsia). Jin had worked for NERV as a handler for potential Evangelion pilots, and had developed a mastery over simulations, eclipsing the skills of her top students. Like Adriel, the AX-ε has a decoy S² engine in its chest, the real one located beneath the right shoulder next to the entry plug. The armor can break apart into small, sharp pieces around its torso in case of an emergency, allowing for pieces of its flesh to shoot out as a point-defense array of shrapnel. This, of course, leaves the entire torso exposed until the Evangelion returns to base for repair.
