Description
I was bitten by the inspiration bug today! This took less than an hour, and is 100% free-handed with Prismacolor markers.The scenery came out better than the Wooper did. XD Pokemon are harder to totally free-hand than scenery, and I work from the most distant part forward, adding to the challenge. Overall, I'm super-pleased with this, though. Enjoy!

This is really good. I suck at drawing backgrounds.

I think this looks realistic o.o It doesn't look like the typical cartoon Wooper, more like what an "actual" Wooper would look like in real life. I really, really like this, the colors, the lineless flow... akfjsnfkejnrvjn everything is so pretty ;w;

Lineless markers woo! That would scare me in all kinds of ways lol. That background man you just rock them anytime you have a picture going on. Yay for woopers and they're blue skin~.

You are too nice to me :'D Thank you! I still really dislike blue and I feel like I'm lousy at shading with it, but I like how the swamp water came out. I mixed blues, blue-greens, and some grays in there.

Wow, that looks really good, really nice work I say. Always fun to play around with something different and I think you did a great job here. I swear it kind of liiks like watercolors than Prismacolor markers.

Thanks so much! Most of the time I do feel that I'm "painting" with my markers so it's natural to forsake the cartoon outlines sometimes and just go freehand.

That background is lovely! You should try this technique with just backgrounds. I'm sure you'll get a lot of good works from it.

I like the grasses, the marker could make the thick and thin lines and it make the grasses vivid, and the front grasses is drawn over this character is good effect. I notice the line-less marker art is also attractive. the soft effect on the distant part is fantastic, I'm always attracted with this soft effect on your arts.

I like the coloring on the wooper. The lighting on it makes it look very three dimensional.

Thanks. At least there's that going for the Wooper... The more I look at this, the more I think the Pokemon is messing up perfectly good scenery.
