More stamps that relate to this subject: [link] [link] [link]This stamp is for everyone who has a cat character and doesn't want it associated with Warriors or dislikes how 64% of cat art that isn't related to Warriors at all is still submitted to the groups.
-For everyone who wants their cat characters to not be confused with Warriors.
-The people who often see fanart or commissions of their characters submitted to Warrior FC/fan cat groups and wish that didn't happen.
-People who are doing a story or have a cat comic and don't want the readers to be confused.
-Or just flat out if you don't like Warriors and don't want your characters to be confused with it and you wanna put this in the folders or art descriptions of your gallery and art.
This isn't saying that assuming a cat with their name ending in paw, fur, star, etc isn't a Warriors cat most often they are one. This is for blatant none-Warriors cats, the ones who have nothing to do with any of the groups they're asked to be put in or are assumed to be Warriors by default.
Honestly I don't hate Warriors, it's full of grammar errors, mistakes, genderbending cats, superpower cats, and is one of the best examples of what to never do with a book but I don't hate it.
If you think I'm being harsh well that's your opinion but point is it has tons of mistakes. Lots of examples are Tawnypelt changing gender, male calicos having offspring, the eye colours constantly changing, etc. Want more errors here's a list of all of them in each book and they can't even keep the names consistent: [link]
Good idea of it if you haven't read or become familar with Warriors yet: [link]
One thing that annoys me is when everything that has to do with cats or anything is associated with Warriors. Someone or a character uses a "My quarrel is with ____" or "I have a quarrel with him" line then they say something like "reminds me of Ashfur" and so on. The quarrels and usage of someone having a quarrel with others has been used for ages. You draw a cat or have them be given 9 lives it's Warriors. You make a cat character with a exotic or even a common name, it's Warriors, you have even a few faves of Warriors fanart, you must draw Warriors so all your cats are Warriors too.
Cat stories and books have been around for ages, Warriors is most certainly not the best in fact it borrows things from other cat books.
Another thing, the forbidden romance thing is tripe, makes no sense and just sounds repetitive and incestrous. They can only breed in their own clan. They're already popping out way too many kits and then every time they treat the incidents that repeat again and again like they're something new. No wonder the cats are unnatural they must be half-inbred by now.
Plus the Erin's have cats, they should know cats aren't social in the wild and tend to be around a female and attack any male or other animal they see as a threat without hesitation unless they are at a disadvantage, in which they flee. Plus there's four people working on the books. Four between eight hands they can't keep characters consistent design or eye colour-wise?
There is no shame in making an alphabetized list of them with eye colour and fur colour as a reference. They had too many characters, especially the one that died of greencough three times. Less characters wouldn't have ruined the plot, heck, it probably would have helped it.
Don't give me the 'this is a fantasy book' people toss the behavior and stuff written in it around like it's fact all the time and they started out intending it to be semi-realistic. So it's not just fantasy, it only became that when the stuff became inaccurate and ridiculous.
I am aware it's fantasy now, that's not an excuse, that would be like writing a long disturbing porno with real people and calling it fiction makes it okay. There's dos and don'ts to a lot of things people, and Warriors did a lot of don'ts. It's not the worst but the hype is overplayed.
The main issue I dislike is the association one. *(Expect more stamps on this)
Lion character ≠ Lion King
Rabbit Character ≠ Watership Down
Etc

There's a few books that Warriors mimicked and they had names like that before Warriors was even a rough draft.

I only enjoy the first and second arcs of Warriors. It held on to the little realism it had before throwing every bit of it away in the third and fourth arc. It seriously began loosing touch with it's original purpose; creating a fantasy like explanation for cat behavior. From then on it went from that to spirituality and cats with super powers. Though, the third and fourth arc were good, it just wasn't the feel of Warrior Cats anymore.

First two were okay, then it was. . . pretty much sparkle cats and randomness that makes no sense.

Although I don't think any fan of Warriors wouldn't see the difference if said Cat OC(Or FC in my case) was drawn in Sonic style, it does get on my nerves. Especially since I see these neon cats everyday.
I'm right if it was maybe 1-2 pictures a day that were drawn well but it's just 305 MS Paint cats a day and its just nonono.

Most fans of Warriors tend to be around 10-16, and Warriors was never the first feline-cast based book so assuming that alone really is a bit reckless.

I'm a Warriors fan, but I have cat OCs that have nothing to do with the fandom.

I know so many people who are like you and still get their chars dumped into the Warriors Fancharacter groups.

Yeah, that's what really sucks about the fandom. Partly why I'm too afraid to draw a cat.

I so agree.
My OC Dischord has nothing to do with Warriors
Or My Little Pony for that matter.
People should learn this!

Oh yeah, the name Discord was around long before MLP. Just as cat characters were around long before Warriors and will be around long after too.

I admittedly think that even though I'm not a warriors fan. I've seen enough debauchery in the fanbase to assume names like "Swiftpaw" or "Shadowclaw" are associated with Warriors.

Well yes, those are ones Warriors related. What I'm speaking of is just cat artwork that is mass submitted to Warriors groups or the mentality that most or near all cat art = Warriors art.
