About 7 months of age, this Alsatian pup, who goes by the name of PACHI, is Hak-Jin's partner. Currently, the duo are being trained to be a search and rescue team, with Pachi also learning to sniff out bombs.

+ knows basic obedience commands (sit, down, speak, heel, stay, come)
+ is able to identify who is its owner
+ no longer cries/whines during the night

- not yet toilet-trained
- fully focused only on food
- still young, therefore sleeps a lot and is still too friendly with strangers

Although Hak-Jin may look aloof or cold, he is actually quite the gentle person. He cares greatly for children and animals, and he doesn't enjoy physical fights. He will only attack to defend himself, but other than that, he'd prefer to be on the defensive. He is also very patient, which can make him an excellent babysitter or animal caretaker. Because of his quiet nature, he tends to hide around large crowds. But instead of just disappearing, he listens and takes notice of every detail in front of him, making him observant. He is loyal to his family (even his dad lol) and the people close to him, and will do everything in his power to support and protect them when needed. He would never leave them out, even though he doesn't seem to show it. Having been forced to take care of himself since young, he has grown up to be a rather independent male. He can houseclean and cook, and basically be his own mother.

In most cases he is obedient and will follow any instructions given, until a certain degree of course. Asking him to complete tasks that question his moral values will be more challenging, but if he sees logical reasoning to it, he would do as he is told. He has a rather casual aura around him. Pretty chill, as one would say. He's not uptight, nor is he too laid-back, he just fits right in between.

However, Hak-Jin is well-known for being unusually calm during tough times, which is bad in a way and may freak people out. When panic arises, or if he/someone gets hurt, he forces himself to keep a composed mind and think rationally. He is also rather secretive about his life. Not that he has anything to hide, but he feels uncomfortable talking about himself. He'd rather be the one listening while everyone else did the talking and would prefer to just follow everyone else and refrain from voicing out his opinions if he deems it unnecessary, therefore making him quite reserved as well. He is also a very stoic individual, and can endure high amounts of hardships without showing much feeling, and he hardly complains. Lastly, he is a very unresponsive person. You can talk about your worst day ever and he wouldn't so much as blink as a reply. Lastly, if he ever does speak, he becomes very blunt, because in his opinion, he thinks that the truth is always better than beating around the bush.

Choi Hye Jin [Mother] : He loves his mother very much, and was sad when she didn't want to see him as often as before. He never knew about her condition and thought she was merely busy with her private life. When he was taken away to America, he dreaded the fact that he most likely would not be able to see her again. Still, he promised himself to contact her whenever possible, no matter what the cost.

Ryong Bit Na [Father's Girlfriend] : He shut himself away from her at first, not being able to accept the fact that his father dumped his mother for her. But after her desperate attempts to make him open up to her, he realized that her actions were genuine. She soon became his moral support whenever he needed it, and although his mother will always be his #1, he thinks of her as someone he can rely on.
