Your use of shading is particularly notable for the flowers and the stones in grass. While from the perspective of someone who isn't really well-versed in how pixels work (such as myself) it is quite good, I must note a thing or two that even I find a bit discomforting: Primarily, I find that there's a bit too much of a shadow below the flowers from a certain angle, and I can't tell honestly if it's shadow or if it's foliage below them. If it is shadow like I suspect, I might recommend that you lighten the parts coming from the northern side of each flower, as it makes it confusing to the eye, even if or especially because my eye isn't well trained in this kind of art.
Outside of the shadow I mentioned, I rather like your technique- the flowers are pleasing to look at and have nice color choices, and the way their petals match the center in a certain way is very gentle and doesn't harm my vision. My favorite piece of this set is the stones, however- the grass surrounding them is well detailed, and the stones themselves are simple yet realistic to me. Unfortunately, I have little I can really say about the ground tiles. They seem good to me.

Thank you for the detailed critique! I do agree with you on the base of the flowers. It was actually supposed to be foliage, but I didn't put as much detail into it as I should have compared to the detail on the flower itself.Ā
I'm glad you like the stones. They were actually the hardest part to do, just due to how simple they are. It's hard to get the balance right between the amount of detail you put in sometimes, so I went through about three different versions before I came up with the final one.Ā

These flowers are really well-made! Maybe of the first set (that one dark brown) the ground should be unsaturated a bit. Good job anyway ^^

Thank you! Yeah, I agree on that. It's a bit hard to see the detail with it being so dark. But I don't really want to put any further work into it after the person who commissioned it disappeared... xD
