Description
V6: [link]Well I promised that the last update to Larcoon City was the last one, but of course, it wasn't. I've added a whole new area to the north: The hot springs. These hot springs are heated by a lava chamber which travels from Mt. Chimney all the way to Aurora towns shores.
Apart from that, there is a new house, and the gate has returned after being gone for 9 months.
This still does need updated though. The path into the hot spring is floating in mid air, and the northern house is going to be some sort of special building. The entrance to Kindle Woods at the far north also needs to be remapped a little.
Comments?
Update: New path added to the west. South east and centre areas modified slightly. Hot springs completely revamped. Many bug fixes and slight palette changes.
Update: All bases of trees updated. Some other minor changes.
Update: Houses revamped to better match the overall games style. Other small changes made.
Update: Changed paving and some palettes.
Credits: PrinceLegendario, Alistair, WesleyFG, Kymotonian, Alucus, G.N.C and I for all pallets and some tiles.
Extra credit to PrinceLegendario for the webs on the gym and lots of helpful tips too.

Ooooh, now this is interesting. The submerged part of the city raises so many questions :} The color palette is really good, too. All the blue tints make it seem like the whole thing's underwater.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. This map is actually really old and looking back at it there are so many things that I would do differently now, but it's nice to see it still being appreciated

It's actually water, as this area has recently been flooded. I need to redo it to make it more obvious. Thanks though!

Yep, it's under water. This is due to an event which will be revealed in the demo, you won't be able to go there until the water drains.

Wrong. It's a game made in rmxp, and is a .exe file.

Well, I didn't make all of it. Most of it was made by others. But, I changed all the pallets and little parts of almost all of it.
Yep, on RPG Maker XP.
No problem

Thanks!
I just updated some of the underwater tree tiles, since I'm using different pallets now. You probably won't see the difference though.

That's a good idea, wuith the bubbles, I'll do that. It's only been underwater for a very short time, and will only be there for too gyms, so it wouldn't turn into sea grass xD

Looks weird with the trees though. I'd recommend using sea tilesets, such as the underwater grass.. some bubbles.. ect.

I really love the red gate And new Pokecenter and Mart fit the city so much better.. Hmm... I think my hot springs don't really fit the style..

PeekyChew In reply to SailorVicious [2010-09-11 10:42:32 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, I do too. Yeah, they fit the more "cartoony" style. Yeah... I was thinking of changing the pallets a bit, which will hopefully fix it
