So I finally finished 9 tenths of the Genre Fiction Challenge - [link] after all kinds of interruptions (including a drive to and from Los Angeles) so here it is. I'll update the image once I've decided on number 10.Your Character: It's Miyuki!
Horror: A mummy is the opposite of a ninja, being a slow moving, indestructible, obvious creature, but I picked the mummy cause mummies are cool.
Sci-Fi: 50's space girl, off to claim planet X from Marvin the Martian, doubtlessly.
Wuxia: This is sort of the genre she falls in normally, so I drew her as a Chinese Tang dynasty assassin for variety's sake.
Fantasy: Miyuki the Barbarian!
War: While a commando would make more sense, I went with an infantryman (infantrywoman?) of the 442nd for historical reasons
Pulp: A sneaky eastern femme fatale.
Crime: Japantown Undercover!
Western: I thought about making her a Native American warrior for this one, but I like gunslingers to much to pass up the opportunity. Her hat's based on the one Clint Eastwood wears in most of his Italian made Westerns.
Artost's Choice: The big question mark - I haven't really decided yet, but I wanted to get this going. I'm taking suggestions, though, and I'll go with what seems like it will make the best pic (or everyone demands it).
This was fairly time consuming, but a lot of fun - go ahead and give it a go if you like.

I really should go back and do another one of these for the other girls, although it wouldn't hurt to finish this one first.
I don't know what I should do for the last one... is Bollywood a genre? Maybe Noir, unless that's a cross between crime and pulp. So far people who've been doing this seem to gravitate toward steampunk, but that's just the Old West with goggles. I'll have to give it some thought.

(I was going to do Steampunk for Angeβs 10th, even if it is just Pulp and Old West with goggles and gears, so I guess I consider it a legit sub-genre too)

Noir is pretty much part of crime, I guess. I can't think of anything Noir that wasn't a crime drama, somehow. I figure everyone who does this should use their own judgement as to what goes in what genre, it's really not set in stone.
There's probably a term within Bollywood for the musical romance epics they do. But yeah, basically I want to draw her in a sari, so that's probably what I'll do.

The Fantasy version looks disappointed that her nipple's covered up. Does she get paid more for nude scenes?
