Another eight facts! I felt like it was time for another one of these; sometime back I was involved in a comment-question-tag journal thing, and as part of that I put it to to decide who it should be, and he picked Lili. She is actually pretty popular with you guys, at least she tends to poll really well considering how little she tends to appear. In fact, she's tied for first the current poll right now despite the fact that I MISSPELLED HER NAME grrrrrrr.Since we haven't heard as much about her, it's easy for me to come up with as yet unused facts. Additionally:
-Though it's fairly obvious that ninjas are all over the place, she dismisses them as an urban legend in Chapter 3 of the Oracle Sword. This may be because in her mind a ninja is just an extra-theatrical street criminal.
-She is pictured here dressed for a plainclothes operation, since we've seen her in uniform more than not (also in line with the other 8 facts pics so far). That's a lot of cleavage for a City employee under any circumstances.
-Her full Chinese name, Lìxúe, means "beautiful snow". Coincidentally, there is a girl's name in Japanese with the same meaning - [link]
-The badge number I gave her here, 629, is too small, real, current SFPD badge numbers are mostly 4 digits.
-Unusually, there are no nude pictures of her in this gallery. If she wins the pin up poll, that will change, of course.

They're fun to do, too. I'm thinking I'll put another one up to a poll, once we hit 120K and the current poll closes.

Well I can't blame her, we all know that ninjas are just fairy tales.

I dunno, when I was a kid fairy tales were always about some about medieval peasants learning some kind of bogus moral lesson after screwing around with dangerous supernatural forces. Which sounds halfway decent when it's put that way, but could easily have done with more ninjas.

Well everything could benefit from more ninjas. But I was just going on what I learned from Gordon from Ninja The Mission Force. Though he may have just been saying that to through everyone off the trail that HE was a ninja too. Hmmm....

It's funny, because in the Godfrey Ho movies (that Ninja the Mission Force is a parody of) pretty much no one ever questions Richard Harrison and company dressing up in their ninja costumes and fighting to the death in Hong Kong's various public parks. Like everyone in the ninja half of the movie totally accepts that it's something that happens all the time. And because of how the movies are edited together, the people in the non-ninja half never acknowledge anything in the ninja half happening at all.
In Lili's case she knows someone killed Elliot Chow, but she's probably thinking it was other Triads, and the ninja business is meant to throw them off the trail, while Inspector Noonan and the other cops think it was ninjas (and in a sense their both right). Of course, in the end the crime is unsolvable and will probably end up passed off as either an accident or a random street crime, even though both are impossible - no one wants to take responsibility for not being able to stop the ninja violence, because even if it's rare, it's memorable.

I pegged you as a Ninja the Mission Force fan. And even the ones they're based on. Cause you know...NINJAS! Which is pretty exactly how those movies went. The ones set in the feudal era I kinda got but the modern day ones? Yes that's weird. And like you said, the ninja half didn't think it was weird at all and the other half never talked about it cause they literally didn't know they existed. Which makes for a fun movie experience all around. Definitely don't write 'em like that anymore. For better or for worse.
Well they could just do at the British do and label it "Death By Misadventure". Which, BTW, is the greatest cause of death description EVER! I don't care how I go out, I want THAT written down as my CoD!
