Description
Miyuki Shimada sat cross-legged on the eaves of a roof, looking into the face of a demon. It was her face, or the one she would shortly assume, a traditional black lacquered noh mask carved to look like one of the many sinister creatures of Japanese mythology, with bulging eyes, short, sharp horns, and, rather unusually, a hysterical grin. A grin full of fangs, certainly, but she had always felt it looked like it was enjoying itself far too much.

From the beginning of the first chapter of The Oracle Sword, Miyuki waits on a roof top in Chinatown until she gets the signal to dispose of a very bad man. Want to find out what happens next? (Sure you do, and there's violence and nudity and cursing in several languages) check it out here:

My plan is to draw some scenes from other parts of the story as well, as time allows (it's Oracle Open World here now so work is even more busy than before). I'm looking to do maybe one per chapter, and I'm always open to suggestions in that respect.

Ink drawing colored in photoshop. The cityscape is a (retouched) photo I took looking downtown from Portsmouth Square, so it is more or less the view one would have from a roof on Grant Avenue.
