Happy Lunar New Year everybody!

This year is the year of the rat, and look how happy he is! Today (2/7) is the first day of the new year holiday, which will culminate in fireworks and a parade, with dragons, lions, and the mayor in a convertible Mustang.

You usually see it written "Gung Hay Fat Choy" around here, but that's the old school Cantonese to British spelling, the one in the pic is more modern. You also tend to see the Kuomintang flag flying over our statue of Sun Yat Sen; old school is just the way it's done.
