Description
This was what I needed ideas for XDWhile exploring some of the links I was given, I stumbled upon one of the Egyptian gods, Set, and facepalmed myself for forgetting this badass existed.
Set (also known as Sutekh like the hieroglyphics at the bottom read) was the god of the desert, storms, darkness, and chaos.
He also is part of a supposedly made-up animal, with squarish ears and a downward-curving snout. I accidentally made his snout too squarish and it doesn't curve as much as I meant it to...I apparently just manned it up more |D
This is a tweaked version, the original didn't scan as well as I wanted it to, it had a soft background, meant to look like a sandstorm, scanner fucked that up real good. So I put the paper texture on to have fun with it.
I also signed it in hieroglyphics for the hell of it.
Done in a mix of prisma and roseart colored pencils and ink, time was about 2 days.

Set is far my fave Egyptian god, I even wrote a book about him ^^ Your drawing is really something fresh, I really love your version of him. I like the texture as well.

Like seriously, the colors look really nice c:
& the composition of this with those staff things on the side is really cool.
The background is a nice sand color too which automaticallly
makes everyone think desert :0 <3
& the sorta old paper texture on this is really fitting.

I was really excited to use colored pencils again, I really tried to make it as vibrant and colorful as possible to make up for the long string of grayscale shit I got goin' on |D I'm so glad people are liking it
