The vwacha larva would appear to be not even the same species as adult vwacha.

Furthermore, the larva would dwarf their adult counterparts. Reaching at least 16 feet in length, they would serve as the menial workforce of vwacha society. Being born with the instinctual grasp of language and basic commands, the larva would be put to work in dangerous mining conditions deep below the planet. The larva can not effectively communicate like mature vwacha as they lack the dedicate vocal organs to create coherent speech. The garb seen here is the only form of clothing the larva would wear, the garment is traditional with the red coloration denoting the larval status as a underling. A sense of parenthood or responsibility for ones offspring is not present in vwacha society. Only when the larva have finally reached their final metamorphosis are they truly considered individuals.
