Description
The successor to the Type 15 medium-range ballistic missile, the spear missile complex is both longer range and more mobile than its predecessor. Instead of being mounted tracked transporter erector launcher (TEL), this two-stage missile, is instead ,mounted on a wheeled transporter.
In service with the 11th legion, the spear missile complex operated in battalions of 12 vehicles, which could be divided into two batteries. These batteries included six TELs, a mobile command post, a pair of communication vehicles, and prime movers for carrying equipment and spare missiles. Each Chapter would receive one battalion of these missiles.
