What that cone coming out of the snout?

I was thinking about it as of snake's tongue, but I am still not sure if this is the final shape of the organ or whether all terrestrial animals will have it, probably not... Like I said, I'm not sure about anything now.

That's possible. An evertable chemosensory organ.

Those creatures are really cool! For some reason, they remind me of Ambulocetus. Maybe they could be an early form of a whale-like alien.

I can kinda see what you mean! Still, these were meant to be mainly small creatures.
P.S. hypnotoad!

What about their tails? they look like "to be continued"

It is "to be continued" I am not sure about their rear ends, that's why I left that out...

Thank you! the legs are just quickly thrown in place without much thought, but I kinda had this critter: [link] in the back of my mind when drawing this...

It looks a bit like a crocodile

PeteriDish In reply to Cowburger13 [2012-04-26 18:33:45 +0000 UTC]

does it? I was thinking of these as of very small critters, the legs are just quicklythrown in place, I don't even know what their tails should look like yet... So many uncertainties!

looking at the legs i would say these guys either walk along the river bed or live on the banks of rivers and in swamps and bayous am i right? any way looks awesome!

Well, this body plan would belong to most of the salamander/lizard analogues, that kind of implies where you could find them.
Thank you very much!
