This was taken at a place called the riparian preserve at Gilbert water ranch. It's a 110 acre nature preserve designed as a wetland for bird life.

There are a few constructed wetlands close to phoenix. That one is the most popular however

awwws I love these guys last time I went to the salt marsh they were with the black necked stilts who had chicks, and every time a northern harrier would fly by the stilts and Avocets would chase them off, then the stilts would chase the Avocets back to the ground.
