Description
This Gilded flicker kindly posed for a few frames.Thank you to who so kindly informed me I had labeled the wrong bird.

They're also seen in upper Michigan... I had seen plenty of them in my parent's back yard before.. & we hadn't known what they were called.. Interesting name they have!
so I'd say their habitat range is quite big since this one was in Arizona! =]

oh goodness. I have a couple of those pests that keep trying to break into our attic no matter what method we use.

oohhh yes they're pests. I even went out there with a BB gun, and that still didn't keep them away. Ah well, I'm the one that intruded on them in the first place so I can't get too mad..

Thanks! I have only seen the yellow shafted ones a few times before, this is the closest I have been able to get to this bird.

they are really skittish that's for sure....better if they are on the ground tho...well at least the ones i have encountered
