Description
Fall colors line the west fork of oak creek canyon. I am always reminded of the narrows and subway in Zion National Park when I hike this trail. Having to wade in the chilly waters made it seem worthwhile as many choose to stop far before this long pool.West fork oak creek canyon- Arizona.

It helped to use a polarizer to reduce the reflection. Otherwise it would not appear clear

How did you get a shot with no people in it and get the water so still?
We were there 3 years ago last month.

Thank you! We hiked in before sunrise to make it to this long pool before the light got too harsh. At the time we only passed maybe four others and after the subway area not a single soul. Most people don't go this far especially considering how cold the water was. Then the slightly long exposure cleared any ripples out of the water. giving a smooth glassy surface.
