Incredibly interesting render!
I really like how it looks - ligh, streamlied, high-tech (charge indicator and screws are really a nice touch!) even somewhat cheap with those plastic finish. A perfect weapon for the start of the game.
Desigh of the barrel itself is somewhat uncommon - but still, this is some kind of laser or blaster, or some other mumbo jumbo, so it looks right like it supposed to.
Very good design of a grip - ergonomical shape and interesting surface finish. This gun looks confortable to hold and use.
Perfect civilian and starter weapon. Very good job!
P.S. In the far darkness of future we still use phillips)

Hi. tnx for positive reaction. that plastic looks is something I prefer last time since is clean, shiny and mainly quite quick rendering material.

excellent work, the only thing I see is the location of the safety, It would almost require two hands to prepare to fire the weapon

I like the look of it, and the overall design. It reminds me of a laser equivalent to a 9mil Baretta or something like that. Sleek and compact. I'd expect this to be more of an investigators sidearm, or a ships officer, and not a front line combat sidearm.

Well, I think I'm weird..... but I like seeing the standard equipment and just everyday things from sci-fi, like for instance I love seeing the space port information displays telling the arrivals and departures! I like it because these simple everyday things can tell a lot about the civilizations that made them. Obviously in sci-fi they aren't real, but it tells me the mindset of the artist, whether they think hard and deep about the subject they made or if their just doing it to get a paycheck. both are fine, very often the paycheck pic can be amazing, but often it is done very quickly leaving out those little things that make the pic, well, real per-say, fun to look at... I just used too many commas.... sorry.... Now, the funny thing is you didn't mean any of this crap I just spouted out concerning the very good rendering and design of the pic above. that being said, I really enjoy your work, it helps to inspire ideas for weapons and the like that I am designing for a sci-fi story I've been working on off and on for several years... no one will ever read it because it will still be unfinished when I die, but hey I have fun writing it, esp the world building part.... ok.... Leaving alone now..... bye!!!!!

Someone needs to make this into a mold and 3d print this.
This belongs in sci-fi series, no matter the budget.

Are you sure you don't have time for commission work?

I like the overall design of the handgun, however it seems to be a tad thin, especially on the grip. Also not a fan of the muzzle shape.

hi. tnx. I'm trimming the fat on my model last time. At the begining I do oversize and trying to give them more realistic look.

Maybe a hamster with a ray gun. And every time you pull the trigger it pokes him in the back making him shoot. XD

You manged to seamlessly combine elements of several of the most popular handguns of the last hundred years. Echoes of the Bond film Walther most certainly, but there's a lot more that I just can't put my finger on.
I'm still trying to figure out the rest.
All said, a really nice job. More proof that some prop designer somewhere really ought to take a serious interest in you.

Great!
Only a couple of small suggestions:
1. The trigger should be flat. The way the trigger is now, it is shaped to fit the 1st joint of your index finger. In reality, you only use the front pad of your finger to shoot.
2. The safety is too small and placed in an awkward position. You would not be able to reach this in a stressful situation effectively. If you redesigned this to be a thumb safety, it would work perfectly.
Great work and styling otherwise!

it is always. not first time I replaced safety on diferent place. And everytime I did it, experienced watchers notice it immediatelly pointing it out from obvious reason. -too far from finger.
