Description After hurricane Sandy, many trees were left with damage to the stems of the leaves due to the high winds. This gives an effect of autumn which is somewhat strange in a place that does not normally experience the leaf drop of fall.

They recover fairly soon, the old leaves drop off and new ones grow especially after some good rain.
