Description
This is not a concept. It is a working skin for Vistart.Unzip the file. Place the complete folder in the skins folder of Vistart. Open the languages folder and rename the english language file to whatever you want. Don't delete it. Place the included language file in the languages folder.
For use with other skins undo the change of the language file.
If you don't have Vistart already, get it herelee-soft.com/vistart/
It is free software.

Ehrlich gesagt habe ich das auf die Schnelle zusammengenagelt weil mich jemand darum gebeten hat. Mir persönlich gefällt es nicht. Zu klobig, zumindest in dieser Auflösung. In Full HD sieht es etwas besser aus. Für die Optik als solche bin ich ja zum Glück nicht verantwortlich.

sorry aber unter Win 8.1 x64 bekomm ich das nicht ans Laufen. Das .rar file ist extrahiert unter "C:\Users\Benutzer\AppData\Roaming\ViStart\_skins", aber bei den ViStart Optionen unter "Style" -> "Install..." taucht kein "Windows9 Startmenu" auf? Die "theme" Datei auf die Vi Start hier wartet ist schlich nicht vorhanden. Haste ne Idee? Danke im Voraus!

Es gibt keine "theme"Datei, da dieses Theme vom Vistart Installer nicht unterstützt wird. Zu abgefahren, und daher nicht vorgesehen. Starte irgendeinen Vistart Skin. Danach klicke auf Optionen. Im folgenden Auswahlmenü solltest Du jetzt das Win9 Theme sehen. Wähle es aus, d.h.nur im Auswahlfeld erscheinen lassen. Nicht auf installieren klicken. Einfach nur auf den Startorb klicken, dann sollte es da sein.
Sollte das nicht klappen, oder sollte ich mich unklar ausgedrückt haben, bitte nochmal nachfragen.Nicht vergessen das Language file auszuwechseln.

aber nee! Das Win 9 Theme taucht nicht auf! Nach Optionen kommt als Oberpunkt " Style", darin dann "Which start menu would you like?". Im Dropdown ist kein Windows9 enthalten, obwohl dein Ordner, entpackt im selben Verzeichnis liegt wie die anderen VI Start Menüs. Ich kann auch keine language.xml in deinem entpackten Ordner sehen, nur eine info.xml und eine Layout.xml? Was ist hier falsch?

Also das hat mir ja nun echt keine Ruhe gelassen. Konnte es jetzt erst testen, weil ich zuhause nur ein 32 bit Windows8.1 habe. Habe es heute in der Firma mit einem 64 bit System probiert. Wir hatten beide ein bisschen Recht. Ich mit meiner Beschreibung, und Du damit, dass es nicht in der Skin Liste auftaucht. Es taucht erst auf wenn man Vistart über Exit verlässt und dann neu startet. Oder nach einem Reboot. Dann funktioniert es ohne Probleme.
Dass keine Sprachdatei dabei ist, liegt wohl daran, dass ich das Ding zu oft geupdated habe. Hate wohl zu dem Zeitpunkt eine fehlerhafte Datei hochgeladen. Die Sprachdatei sorgt nur dafür, dass kein unerwünschter Text auf den Kacheln auftaucht. Für die Funktion an sich unerheblich. Mittlerweile ist das Ding eigentlich perfekt. Wenn Du magst, lade es noch mal runter und teste es.
Hoffentlich mit besserem Ergebnis.

aber mal ehrlich: was denken die sich eigentlich bei M$? nichts vermutlich... wie bisher. 
warum reaktivieren die nicht wieder die vista sidebar, und modernisieren sie auf kachel? es gibt ja (neben zig anderen möglichkeiten) ein vielversprechendes freeware projekt (metrosidebar.com/) , bei dem jetzt scheinbar endlich wieder was weiter geht nach einer laaaaangen periode der unttätigkeit...
aber ja nu... die massen werden es hassen, und trotzdem kaufen/raubkopieren! und solange es tools wie vistart oder classic menu gibt... ^^

Was soll man da sagen. Schön sieht es nicht aus.Ist halt ein Rest vom Windows 8 Startscreen. Ganz zurückrudern wollen sie wohl nicht. Fehler zugeben fällt immer schwer.
Die Vista Sidebar benutze ich immer noch, auch auf Windows8.1. Sieht man ja auf den obigen Screenshots.
Aber gut, dass es nicht perfekt ist. Sonst hätte man keinen Grund mehr dran rumzubasteln.

Yepp i think it will be good. On the other Hand Win8.1 works really fine. Normally there is no need for a new OS. It is the fastest and most stable Windows i ever had.

Agreed, been using Win8 since late 2012, with just a mouse and keyboard and have had almost no complaints. It's just as fast or faster than Windows 7 and just as stable if not a bit more! And lots of new and nice features

I have no touchscreen too, but the usability is fine anyways.Only they should work a little bit more on the visuals. Yosemite looks much better. No clue if it IS better. Cannot try it.

Yeah, I don't understand why people get so upset about Win 8... even if I had a touch screen I'd probably still use a mouse/keyboard; as Win8 works great with it.
And yeah, Yosemite seems to have a bit more eye candy and a more polished look to everything. Windows 8 not so much. But I can't wait to give Windows 9 a test drive! I really hope they do a total overhaul of their graphics, animations, and icon styles as well!

The website itself is full of promos, but the installer is clean and free of adware. A lot of people use Vistart since years. It is very well known in the customization community.

You can google for Vistart and i think you will find nothing bad. I don't use Chrome so i cannot reproduce this message. Firefox and IE have no probs with it.
