Sliders would likely have done better made two decades later and as a Netflix series. It was a good premise, and it had a good cast (initially), but it was really hampered by television production constraints and the effects budget of its era. I'm sure it'll get rebooted someday, but here's hoping they give the idea its due the next time around.
