I was part of the Tolkien Secret Art Exchange this year for The Silmarillion-themed secret santa. My secret santa asked for Melkor, so here we are!
This illustration is based on the scene where Melkor emerges from Angband to answer Fingolfin's challenge. It's one of my favourite scenes!

Oh! Viewing these as the tunnels is a neat way to look at it. I intended for them to be the gates, but that's cool too. Glad you like it.
