Man, I wish I coulda found tutorials like this back when I first got GIMP. I spent all my time miserably adapting Photoshop Tutorials.

Wow! I just got GIMP yesterday, and there are so many new things I'm learning about it!!! This is an awesome tutorial, I'm going to fave it. ^_^ I'd love to see a color tutorial!

Oh, and have the transperent layer highlighted when doing the lineart, forgot thar ^_^

But, Here's an idea I have. Make another layer off of the background one. Make sure this layer is transparent. Then, lower the opacity on the background layer, I think it would make the Line art more like the drawing, unless this does something bad, what do you think?

Thanks for this tutorial! My lineart in the GIMP usually ends up rather poor, the this will really make my lineart look better, thanks. Hope you don't mind if I fav this.
