This is good for more than anime. It is great. I have a tablet but I can't draw line art on it well. this helps alot. I ususlly draw the picture by hand and scan it in. But this will help me create smoother lines in my work. Thanks for the great tutorial.
Take Care

It should be under the "view" menu or, at least for me, it is Ctrl+L. I'm glad my tut could help!

Very interesting, but is there no way to make flexible shaped lines, like when curves done with a brush? I was a bit confused when reading your tut, but it is very valuable material though!

This is great too! So you use different layers for lineart as well? That will be too much for my PC... it can't handle anything over 200dpi, poor thing...
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
pheona In reply to smilie-terrorist [2006-05-24 21:29:41 +0000 UTC]
I use a few different layers, but my lineart always ends up all on the same layer so I can use the selection tools. I am very glad my tutorials were useful!

oh hey this helps a lot!! i was wondering how you got the lineart transparent. hopefully i can learn how to get patience with this. :animesweat: if that's possible
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
pheona In reply to Scyrens [2006-05-14 16:36:32 +0000 UTC]
If you draw the lines on a layer all to its own, then it will have everything transparent on the layer but the lines.

Thanx for the guide but i was wondering, If my lines are not dark enough when I stroke path what should i do, Should i stroke the path with a paintbrush or pencil?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
pheona In reply to EvolvingWereWolf [2006-04-04 23:14:18 +0000 UTC]
It depends on what color you are using for the lines. If you are using black and a 1.5 pixel line and it is still not dark enough, you can move up to a 2.5px line. Stroking it twice will give a more rigid line because it will cover up the blur on either side of it. Using the paintbrush, depending on what size and shape you use, might help. If you have any more questions, please ask. I am glad I could help.
