You can adjust your brush to a different width.

ย A Warning, in the latest version, I have had some trouble from switching brushes[ I made a HuGe round and long rectangle brushes for erasures] occasionally when I switch brushes in a hurry it will not resize to the brushes natural size. if you get a brush that acts funny like that , your may need to use the little reset arrow on the brush edit dialogue.

I am just learning GIMP, but the program can do more than I know how to use it.

This is an awesome tutorial. I am currently building a GFX forum with a focus on learning, tutorials, and teaching. I'd love to feature your tutorial. The forum isn't open yet, but I was wondering if I could post it for when we open very soon?

KitsunekoShojo [2012-11-24 15:09:38 +0000 UTC]

Hi! Thanks for useful tutorial

I have few questions thought. What if I wanted to draw brush-like lineart, like these of my works: [link] & [link] ? I've tried to do that with gimp, but never succeeded. In Sai, I use brush sized 350, and even if brush is that big, I still can easily paint thin lines and little details. But in gimp especially little details doesn't work, as brush suddenly "gets bigger" while trying to draw something detailed without pushing brush heavily. In comparison to previous works, this is most detailed thing I could draw in gimp: [link] . Not enough for me ^^'
I would also like to know, if it's possible to add 'undo' and 'redo' buttons to tools plate. It's complicated to use menus all the times... And is it really so that you can't turn and mirror your work while drawing on gimp? That's also really helpful thing in sai.

Thank you, if you can help me. I really would like to use gimp, as it's legal free program, but seems like it just doesn't meet all my needs
